what's all this?

Cat Land? 2.0 even? Now… let’s have a closer look at this project of ours:

One of the lovely people at MINDA (Minden Állatért Alapitvány – one of our partners) took it upon herself to make her very own apartment (including a custom built cat-patio and basement) a sanctuary for cats who other organisations would have euthanized right away.

The reason for this being them testing positive for FeLV and / or FIV (sometimes referred to as feline AIDS); two contagious diseases among felines. She turned her home into Cat Land, putting her belief in indiscriminate love into practice.

By doing so she, Dr. Eva, created a safe haven for these animals to live in, despite them not having that much time left as their companions would who tested negative – bearing the emotional burden of saying goodbye more often than one usually has to in a foster setting.

we take this work forward

In an effort to honor and continue Dr. Eva’s work we set out to establish what we call Cat Land 2.0: a safe place for FeLV and FIV positive felines to spend the time they have in an species-appropriate and loving setting.

To do so we have acquired property in the Danube Bend which is reasonably close to MINDA’s homebase and we currently refurbish it to meet the needs of its future (mostly) four legged inhabitants.

Once set with this, we’ll add a guest house to allow for guests staying in the middle of the forest accompanied by numerous animals… to get a breath of mental fresh air.
