What an unforgettable gathering it was! The World Feline Congress 2025, launched by International Cat Care, wrapped up in late June in Edinburgh, UK (27-29 June, to be precise). Cat lovers, vets, and nurses from across the globe converged to champion feline wellbeing from kittenhood to senior years under the inspiring theme “New Beginnings”.
The event delivered three tailored learning streams, making it accessible for all. Vets delved into cutting-edge topics like medicine, neurology, and surgery, while nurses honed practical skills. Attendees racked up impressive CPD hours through dynamic talks, panels, and hands-on sessions.
From prenatal care to tackling those common kitten health issues, the congress equipped everyone with fresh strategies to boost everyday cat care confidence. Sessions on early interventions showed how proactive steps can prevent many issues, leading to longer, healthier lives.

Beyond the lectures, there was just enough time for networking over coffee, lively social events, and strolls through Edinburgh’s historic streets with stunning views. It was more than a conference; it was a global cat community recharge.
Looking back, events like the World Feline Congress remind us that collaboration is key to healthier, happier cats, and animals overall. The innovations shared there are already influencing practices, from better kitten protocols to holistic senior care. At A Gathering for Cats Worldwide, we’re thrilled to have followed it closely and look forward to future gatherings.
